Union Investment has begun a €70m redevelopment of 4/5 Grand Canal Square, formerly Meta’s Dublin headquarters. Walls has been appointed as the main contractor, with Lafferty overseeing the project, which is due for completion in early 2027.

The 250,000 sq ft scheme will deliver premium, sustainability-focused workspace over the next 18 months, featuring main receptions on Grand Canal Square and Cardiff Lane. Around 12.5% of the building will be allocated to amenities, including a business lounge, café with outdoor seating, flexible workspace, private gym and wellness suite, and a rooftop terrace with waterfront views.

Plans also include a seven-storey glazed atrium with a Town Hall and ‘Collaboration Street’ to encourage flexible and collaborative working.

Parkwest Fire Protection have been appointed to this project as the specialist passive fire protection contractor to oversee the installation of Fire Barrier Penetration Seals in walls and floors, large and small Cavity Barriers, in Ceiling Voids, below floors, and around the external facade of the building.
